WitteWijk Records is a Belgian indie post-punk label, established in 2023.
The name WitteWijk is taken from the word “Witte Wijk”.
Named after a working-class neighbourhood on the outskirts of Londerzeel Reinzwein and Marx BlueGlue grew up in, 100m from each other. This hood contained only white painted houses and therefor nicknamed by locals as “de Witte Wijk”.
Fact: Dec 1981, in the garage of ” Reinzwein’s parents White House” the Pigs In Blue Glue were formed and the “Witte Wijk” can be seen as a crucial cornerstone in Pigs’ and Belgian Postpunk History.
No better name would suit the new home of Pigs in Blue Glue.
Some people think punks should shut up and not be heard.
But we think “oh bondage, up yours!”
