2nd of November 1981, an enormous burst of sound startled the dozed of ‘witte wijk’ at Londerzeel town. Was it a bird? Was it a plane? No! It was a self-consciously dangerous and youthful alternative threesome misusing guitars, amplifiers and a Lenco turntable in the garage of Reinzwein’s elderly house.
Reinzwein (vox) – Marx Blueglue (guitar) – Bonte (bass) had only one coup d’état in mind: the birth of Pigs in Blue Glue.

Bonte’s presence was a one-off, and Wouter stepped in on bass. Dirk on Korg Ms20 got listed and Pigs in Blue Glue kicked off. We are writing December 1981.
In their dreary home base -the legendary youth house “Houtekiet”- self-written songs screamed heavenly up here, influenced by late 70 – early 80’s post-punk and new wave. The song IDENTIFIED made it to a cult hit, often being played by the infamous disco bar New Epidemic. In 1982, they continued to perform live and supported the Scabs, the Mess and Revenge 88.

Winter 1982 became a cornerstone, as guitarist Marx went forming the Paranoiacs.

Before him, Wouter (joining the Wizards of Ooze) and Dirk already had left the band.

Fast forward: April 2022. Original founders Reinzwein and Marx re-made 2 pigs classics for the anniversary of New Epidemic.
The chemical mushroom spell between the 2 old friends payed off and in 6 months’ time the DIY vinyl LP “Anger All” was moonlighted.

Ah, what a lovely anger all, the Pigs in Blue Glue arrived!
